Mallsense took part in Retail Congress MENA 2026, one of the region’s key events for mall owners, operators, asset managers and retailers. The Congress was organized by the Middle East Council of Shopping Centres & Retailers (MECSR) and held on 5–6 October at The Ritz-Carlton, DIFC, Dubai.
This year’s theme was “Level Up: Empowering Tomorrow’s Leaders Today”. The agenda covered AI in retail, next-generation leadership, the future of shopping malls and Dubai’s retail and tourism agenda. The Congress closed with the MECSR Shopping Centre & Retailer MENA Awards 2026.
Over the years, many people we first met through the MECSR community have become close partners and friends. This year felt especially meaningful: despite everything happening in the world, people traveled from different countries to come together, share plans and look ahead. Thank you to David Macadam and the MECSR team for the flawless organization and the unique atmosphere of the Congress, said Alexey Knyazev, Co-Founder and CEO of Mallsense.
Over two days, the Mallsense team held hundreds of conversations with mall owners, operators, finance and asset management teams from the UAE, KSA and across the region. The main topics were automated tenant sales data capture, footfall and mall analytics, and customer behavior.
Representing Mallsense at the event were Alexey Knyazev, Co-Founder and CEO; Kate Vasileva, Chief Operating Officer; and Nick Pavlushkin, Head of Business Development.
